You don’t have to be formally engaged before booking your venue. It’s very common for our couples to get a head start in the wedding planning process by booking their Joplin wedding venue and then make the engagement announcement later. Here's why!

1. Because it's difficult to move forward in the wedding planning process without a date and location. Vendors simply won’t work with you until you have a date, so book the venue first.

   
   

2. Once your venue is booked, you can now book the photographer. Many photographers will include an engagement photo session with the wedding photo package at a screaming deal.

   
   

3. When the engagement photos are completed, the couple can include them in their social media content and engagement announcements! Of course, when you make your engagement announcement, friends and family will ask when the date is and well… you’ve already planned for that question, like a boss!
